In October 2019 the deputy secretary of the Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) signed the permit for Eagle Mountain Casino to relocate, this was due to it being the best decision for the tribe because the casino used to stand in the way of development on reservation land. 

The casino is scheduled to open in the fall of 2022 with a 100,000 square foot space with 2,000 seats in an event center to be installed.

The exact location of where the casino will be located is not yet known, however it is known that it will be relocated a few miles from where it was previously located, also in Porterville.
